DataServ provides powerful search capabilities. Saved and published searches enable you to search very quickly for common search criteria. The advanced filtering search provides a robust search tool for creating complex queries.
The main search (using the field that contains the prompt 'Enter search term(s)' performs a "Google-like" search across all data fields. The data fields are the columns that show in your search results and also on the right data pane when you are viewing a document. The search also includes text within the discussion pane and note annotations.
When information is entered into the field that contains the prompt 'Enter search term(s)' after a Saved or Published search has been run, the information is used to further refine the Saved or Published search results.
The search options are available at the top of the search results list that is shown when you click a Dashboard Tile and at the top of the Dashboard.
The main components of the Search Options are listed below.:
Clear Search-removes the active Saved or Published Search and resets all filters
Default Search-displays your default search
Show/Hide Filters-opens up the filter and advanced functions
Saved and Published Search Drop-down-list saved and published searches
