RELEASE 2024.09
Product Updates:
-
Default Coding has been enhanced to be applied to documents after the user modifies the Vendor or other relevant fields on the document. Prior to this enhancement Default Coding was only applied when the document was initially imported into DataServ; therefore it was not applied to documents that were classified as “Vendor Not Found” or if the vendor was changed later. This enhancement will apply the Default Coding logic after the user resolves the missing vendor.
- How does this behave going forward?
- 1. User edits a field that is part of the Default Coding matrix (E.g. Vendor).
- 2. After the edited field loses focus the following checks will be performed:
- If the user has access to perform coding AND the data from the current document is setup in the Default Coding matrix, then:
- For documents not already coded, default coding will be automatically applied.
- For documents that are already coded and the Default Coding matrix has different coding than what is currently on the document, DataServ will check if the status = “New” OR “Returned to AP” AND the document has not previously been approved. If both of these criteria are met, then the user will be asked if they would like to replace the existing coding with the default coding values.
- If the user has access to perform coding AND the data from the current document is setup in the Default Coding matrix, then:
- See our help documentation for more information regarding Default Coding.

Bug Fixes:
- We fixed an issue with advanced filtering where the “greater-than” and “less-than” operators were returning incorrect invoices.
- We added internal monitoring to catch email notification failures and errors so that our team is notified and can take action on them so that users receive their emails as expected.
