On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, DataServ will release an upgraded Out of Office feature alongside an evolution in how we deliver client-facing product improvements. This release will not require a maintenance window or system downtime.
A Faster Release Cadence for Client-Facing Improvements:
Over the past year, we have invested in our deployment infrastructure, and our release quality has been consistently strong throughout that time. During this period, we have used a continuous deployment process to deliver behind-the-scenes improvements such as API enhancements and targeted bug fixes. We are now ready to extend this process to client-facing features.
What this means for you:
- We can deliver product improvements to your users more frequently, without waiting for the next monthly maintenance window.
- These deployments do not require downtime. They occur during normal business hours with no interruption to active users.
- Our existing monthly maintenance process, client communications, and scheduled downtime maintenance windows will continue unchanged. This new cadence is additive.
- You will continue to receive release notes for every change that affects your users, whether delivered through our monthly release or through this new continuous deployment process.
Our First Client-Facing Feature Through This New Cadence: Out of Office Upgrade
The Out of Office feature upgrade is a capability many clients have requested. Beginning June 9, 2026, your users will be able to set an out-of-office Start Date, Return Date, and Delegate in their My Profile page, helping ensure documents continue to flow smoothly when team members are away and to resume automatically when they return.
Administrators will be able to view which team members are out of office, when they’ll return, and who their delegate is during that time via the Users List table in User Management.
Any users currently Out of Office should experience no disruption. We will retain their Delegate and assign default Start and Return Dates that they or their administrator can update at any time in My Profile.
