In the event that an inbound doc fails to pass through shield, you may have a corrupt PDF due to the way it was generated(usually by third party software). This may be able to be corrected by opening up the pdf in Acrobat or a browser, then choosing "Print", and choosing "Print to PDF". This process essentially creates an entirely new PDF based off of the old one, and should be valid. Sending in this newly created PDF should allow for it to process correctly.
