DataServ Quarterly Failover Tests – NO User Impact

This is a friendly note to inform DataServ clients of upcoming quarterly infrastructure failover testing on Sunday September 19th and Wednesday, September 29th. 

There is no anticipated impact on users of the DataServ solution or document processing, as the platform will remain operational during these activities. These activities are performed as a preventative measure to test system redundancy and avoid unforeseen issues in the future. In the past we have not communicated non-impactful events, but as we strive to enhance client communication, we will begin informing you of these tests and other ongoing maintenance activities. . 

On Sunday, September 19, 2021, between 10 am and 11 am central US time, DataServ will perform quarterly firewall failover test at our data center.  During this maintenance we will test failover between our firewalls.  The actions involved are fully documented. 

On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, between 4 am and 6 am central US time, our data center provider will perform quarterly power generation failover tests.  During this maintenance they will transfer the facility load from utility to generator and back to utility to ensure proper operation and functionality of the critical infrastructure.  The actions involved are fully documented.
