Have you ever seen this Workflow button greyed out before while attempting to work a document? If so, you are not alone. This workflow button could be greyed out for multiple reasons, limiting you from processing your document. The reasons you cannot approve are listed below.

Check your Security Groups
- Without having the proper security groups assigned to your account, you will not be able to approve documents. If you have any questions or concerns regarding which security groups you have assigned, please contact your internal organization's administrator.

Check your Approver Matrix
- This step is dependent on having the correct security group. If you do not have the correct security group, you will not be in the Approval Matrix. If you are not included in an Approval Matrix, you will not be able to approve documents.

Check your spelling

Ensure the spelling of the approver's name is correct throughout the application. This includes but is not limited to the user's name listed in their user account, the matrices, and the route to list.

Check the status
- The status of the document is important in order for you to approve a document. This step varies for each user as it is dependent on your solution's workflow configuration. If you are unsure or have questions about which status it should be in to approve documents, please reach out to your administrator for more information.
